Summary

The former Utah Army National Guard Armory conversion into the Murray Armory a new Gathering Place and new jewel to Murray Park for residents and companies to use as a flexible venue ready to host weddings, reunions, and civic events for up to 300 guests.

Designed by ajc architects design team and built by Paulsen Construction, the original brick and concrete structure has been thoughtfully historically preserved and seismically upgraded. The revitalized facility features a distinctive outdoor pedestrian courtyard complete with a shaded trellis, stage, outdoor fireplaces, and south-side seating—all enhancing the event experience.

Located at 246 East Myrtle Avenue, the site is easily accessed via Myrtle Avenue and Jones Court, which also serve the Boys & Girls Club, Ken Price Ballfield, and the north entrance to Murray Park.

Meridian Engineering provided topographic survey services and civil engineering services including site plans for a new courtyard and sidewalks, a new sidewalk to Cottonwood Creek, utility design for new water and sewer services, site grading for parking and pedestrian friendly areas, and storm water management plans to connect existing infrastructure and consolidation of property and preparation of utility and access easements.
