Cedar Valley High School

Summary

Eagle Mountain’s first district public high school designed by Naylor Wentworth Lund Architects on a new site that incorporates an aviation theme. Located at 1389 Aviator Avenue, Eagle Mountain the final product built by Hogan Construction, serves grades 9-12 for the Alpine School District.

Meridian provided boundary survey site design for this 60-acre high school with a new roadway fronting the site along with intersection enhancements on Pony Express Parkway. Aviator Avenue was designed as part of the project to connect the high school to Pony Express Parkway. New acceleration, deceleration, and turn lanes were added to Pony Express Parkway to improve access. In addition, Meridian was responsible for the site design, grading and layout of the school including parent and bus drop off zones, preschool play area, multiple parking lots, soccer fields, post tension tennis courts, baseball and softball fields, artificial turf football field, track and stadium and a drivers ed range. The bid documents provided drainage plans, grading plans, utility plans including new public water and sewer systems, site hydraulic analysis and design for various on-site storm water collection systems. Retention basins were required due to lack of regional storm drain facilities.
