Daybreak Library

Summary

This new 28,000 square foot net zero building design for the Salt Lake County was lead by Architectural Nexus to support this active community and its new urbanism. Located at 11358 Grandville Avenue approximately 5600 West, South Jordan, serves a master planned community of over 21,000 residents as a gathering place for children and adults to hang out and enjoy. The branch is located next to the Red Line Trax for easy access to its outdoor amphitheater and indoor large media collection. The library also features Create spaces, art gallery, conference room, study rooms and rooftop garden terrace with native flora that is accessible 24/7. Outdoor Sculpture by James Brenner is a bonus.

The civil site engineering by Meridian included new site layout and planning, utility plan layout, storm drainage, sewer extension and connections, grading and drainage plans, hydrology study and underground stormwater retention basin design, construction site reports, and record drawings.
